Feb. 5, 2013 – Michael Simon
Michael Y. Simon, MFT
Many parents and guardians never ask, “What does good mental health look like in teens?” Michael Y. Simon, teen expert, tells us that academic and social success and the absence of symptoms do not equate to adolescent mental health; rather, good mental health is a work in progress that requires consistent help from parents and other trusted adults. Michael Simon is a licensed marriage and family therapist and the founder of Practical Help for Parents, an organization that supports people who work daily with teens. He has recently authored The Approximate Parent:Discovering Strategies that Work with Your Teenager .
